Robert Camby

Hendersonville - Robert Dale Camby, 53, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his home. A native of Buncombe County, Mr. Camby had resided in Hendersonville for the past 15 years. He was an auto mechanic by trade, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a loving and proud father and Papaw. Mr. Camby was the son of Judy Beck Lunsford and husband Bynum, and the late Robert Herman Camby. In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Sheila Rhew Camby; children: Jennifer Craig and husband Noah, and Evan Camby and wife Sarah; grandchildren: Hayden, Brenson, Logan, and Caroline; sister, Natalie Loftin; and several nieces and nephews, and a host of special, lifelong friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Page officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the East Buncombe Rocket Youth Football League, C/O Tina Hines, 33 Lovers Loop Road, Asheville, NC 28803, or to the charity of ones choice.
