Rick Mollenkopf

Arden Rick Mollenkopf, 66, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Bucyrus, Ohio, he had lived in both Gainesville and Vero Beach, Florida before moving to Arden four years ago. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War. Mr. Mollenkopf was the son of the late Howard Jacob Mollenkopf and Justine Shoemaker Mollenkopf. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Johnson. Surviving are his wife, Denise Eve Kuhn Mollenkopf of the home; daughters, Kira Segebarth and husband Brad of Charlotte and Ilsa Mollenkopf and fiance', Andrew Kucera of Black Mountain; granddaughter, Madison Segebarth and grandson, Jackson Segebarth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mission Hospital Cancer Center, 21 Hospital Drive, Asheville, N.C. 28801.
