Rick "Cricket" Plemmons

Asheville Paul Richard (Rick) Cricket Plemmons, 53, of 70 Knoll Ridge Drive died Saturday, January 19, 2008. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was owner and operator of Dickies Foods and attended Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Plemmons is a son of Ethel Annette Freeman Plemmons of Asheville and the late Richard Dickie Merritt Plemmons. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Connie Cordell Plemmons of the home; daughter, Jeannie Annette Chambers and husband, Thomas William Chambers, Jr. of Leicester; grandson, Timothy Mitchell Chambers of Leicester; sister, Missy Plemmons of Asheville; brothers, Chip Plemmons and Buzzy Plemmons, both of Asheville; mother-in-law, Darlene Cordell of Asheville. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church on Shelburn Road with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr. and Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 PM Saturday at the church. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is serving the family.
