Richard Robinson

Alexander Clarence Richard Robinson, 83, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he retired from construction work, specializing in home building. He was a member of Morgan Hill Baptist Church and was a US Army veteran. Mr. Robinson was the son of the late Wiley James Robinson and Nellie Gentry Robinson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Wilma R. Bruce and brother, Roy James Robinson. Surviving are his loving wife whom he married October 2, 2007, Wanda Gail Payne Haynes of the home; daughter, Leisa Kimbrough; step sons, Keith Haynes of Augusta, GA, T.J. Haynes of West Asheville and Stanley Haynes and wife Lorie of Weaverville; grandson, Noah Kimbrough; step granddaughters, Elaina, Megan and Abigail Haynes; special niece, Dolores Brown and husband Daryl of Waxhaw and special friends, David and Susan Chambers of Weaverville. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 5, 2017 at West Memorial Park with Rev. Worth Emory and Rev. Lewis Maynor officiating. Military rites to be conducted by the NC National Guard Honor Team. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
