Rhonda P. Burris

West Asheville Rhonda Ellen Porter Burris, 53, of 38 Udell Court passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County she was a graduate of Cecils Business College. Mrs. Burris was the daughter of the late Robert William Porter, Sr. and Louise Rice Porter, wife of Gary Dean Burris who died December 7, 2012 and was also preceded in death by her brother Jeffery Allen Porter. Surviving are her daughter, Amanda Gail Burris and son, Jimmy Dean Burris, II both of Asheville; grandchildren, Nevaeh Hollingsworth, Catherine Brown and Jillian Brown; brother, Robert William Porter, Jr. (Connie) of Flowery Branch, GA; sisters, Libby Hannah and Irma Willard (Steve) both of Asheville and Crystal Porter of Georgia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Trinity of Fairview with Rev. Jesse Looney officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the church.
