Rev. William Mills "Bill" Creson

Rev. William Bill Mills Creson, 88, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation Center. Rev. Creson was a Veteran of the US Army having served as a Gunner in the Korean War. He later retired from the State as a Parole Officer and for the past 20 years was a Methodist Lay Preacher for many Methodist Churches in the region. Surviving are his wife, Robbie Davis Creson of the home; son, Eric Creson of Swannanoa; step-children: Teresa Barnett of Maryville, TN, and David Worley of Asheville; sisters: Cartha Hill, Doris Potter, and Jean Holloway all of Marion; and a special cousin, John Hunter of Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Military Honors conducted by the NC National Guard Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
