LEICESTER Rev. James Roy Grandpaw DuVall, 88, of 28 Georgetown Drive passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at his residence. A native of Blairsville, GA, he was a son of the late Charlie and Maggie Neeley DuVall. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Minnie Wade and brothers, Floyd, Wayne and Judson DuVall. . Mr. DuVall had resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He retired in 1985 as a Route Salesman following 16 years of service with Frito-Lay and served as manager of Georgetown Mobile Home Park from 1972 to 2007. He was an ordained Baptist Minister and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jean Hoilman DuVall of the home; daughter, Deborah Jean (Debbie) Morris and husband, Keith of Asheville; son, David Wesley DuVall and wife, Jennifer of Asheville; sister, Monteen DuVall Harwood of Asheville; brother, Rev. Charles J. DuVall of Asheville; granddaughters, Brooke DuVall, Kelsey Morris, Tonya Morris and Megan Morris; grandson, Brady DuVall and a grandpaw to many in the West Buncombe Community. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry and Alan DuVall, Lewis and James Braswell, Henry Summey, Pierre Roy, Garrett Twiss and David Sluder. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Area Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813 or to Mt.
