Rev. David Gosnell

Asheville - Rev. David J.D. Gosnell, of 12 Pelzer Street went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday March 22, 2009. He was the son of the late William and Mary Gosnell and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Anthony McCurry. He was founder and Pastor of Caleb Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; Dorothy Gosnell, Daughter; Cindy McCurry of Asheville; daughter, Sharon Freeman; son, Charles David Gosnell; step-son, Randy Allen of Marshall; brother, Jerry Gosnell; sisters, Wanda Fox, Shirley Bowman, Billie Gale Redmon; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was a former member of Woodfin Fire Dept., former employee of Iwanna, former director of Woodfin Youth League, former owner of J.D. Gosnell Landscaping, founder and former Pastor of Gospel Baptist Church. His life centered around his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Ministry, his family and friends. David will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Gospel Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Greene and Brother Jeff McCurry officiating. Burial will be in Elk Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
