Rebecca Jeanne "Becky" Hurley

Asheville - Rebecca Jeanne Becky Hurley, 23, of 304 Short Michigan Avenue died Saturday, October 5, 2002 at Duke Hospital in Durham following a brief illness. She was a recent graduate of the Progressive Education Program at T.C. Roberson High School and attended Erwin Hills Baptist Church. She is survived by her mother, Susan Kurlowicz Hurley of Marshall; father, Leonard Hurley of New Jersey; sister, Jessica Erin Hurley of Asheville; maternal grandmother, Helene Kloza and paternal grandmother, Lillian Hurley; foster mother, Martha Hoyle with whom she made her home and foster sister, Jennifer Ray of the home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Allison Robinson officiating. Private burial will be at a later date.
