Ralph Gilchrist Jaeggli

Wilmington - Ralph Gilchrist Jaeggli, 81, went home to be with Christ on October 29, 2006 in Wilmington, NC. Born in Verona, NJ on June 2, 1925, he was the son of the late Hans Rudolf and Katherine Jaeggli. He was a graduate in mechanical engineering from Syracuse University and a PT boat commander in World War ii. he lived in Syracuse, NY, until 1974 and worked as a corporate sales engineer for Lennox. He then moved to Asheville, NC, and was employed by Ball Heating and Air Conditioning and Rheem Scientific until retirement. Mr. Jaegglis wife, Joan Virginia, passed away in 1982. He then married Anne Enman of Asheville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Randy Jaeggli of Greenville, SC, Alice Jaeggli of Wilmington, NC, Lynne Brooks of Atlanta, GA, Janet Long of Wilmington, NC and Judy Trump of Roanoke, VA. Additionally he has fourteen grandchildren. He is also survived by three step-children; Jan Garvey of Peoria, AZ, Peggy Harvey of Birmingham, AL and Charles Enman, Jr. of Memphis, TN. The family will receive friends at Anders-Rice Funeral Home on Patton Ave. from 1 to 2 P.M. on Friday, November, 3, 2006. A memorial service will follow at 2 P.M.
