Ralph Freeman

Ralph Freeman, 66, passed away December 28 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Ralph was born Sept 26, 1953 in Greenwood, SC and resided in Laurens, SC. He was the son of the late Vernon L. Freeman and Grace P. Freeman. Ralph was a skilled auto mechanic who spent both his professional and personal time doing what he loved, repairing and restoring cars until his health declined in recent years. Ralph loved the SC Gamecocks and was also an avid fan of Nascar. He loved his family and friends with his whole heart and enjoyed being surrounded by those that he loved. Ralph is survived by Sherry Morris of Asheville, NC; two sons Alan Grey Morris of Charlotte, NC and Danny Freeman of Greenwood, SC; two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Sharon Cowan and brother Mike Freeman, both of Greenwood, SC. Ralph is predeceased by his daughter Stacey Freeman of Ninety Six, SC A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2019, at Siloam Baptist Church, 2409 Siloam Church Road, Greenwood, SC 29646. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to services on Sunday at the church. A second memorial service will be held at a future date to be determined and announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations can be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284. Anders Rice Funeral Home in Asheville is assisting with arrangements. Plans to honor his memory will be announced at a later date.
