Ralph Collins

Easley, SC Ralph Richard Collins, 73, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC. A native of Henderson County, he was a resident of Miami, FL until moving to Asheville in 1958 and has resided in Easley for the past 7 years. He retired as an Automotive Upholster, was former Owner & Operator of Harrins Trim Shop and attended Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, SC. Mr. Collins was the son of the late Paul Lawter and Lydia Franks Lawter. Surviving are his wife, Irene Searsey Collins, whom he married April 25, 1959, of the home; daughters, Deborah Parries and son-in-law Rick of Charlotte and Cindy Porter and husband Randy of Easley, SC; son, Gary Collins of Asheville; grandchildren, Chad Parries, Luke Porter, Dillon Porter, Thad Collins, Travis Shelton and wife Kayla and their daughter, Chloe. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
