Peggy Ann Davis

Asheville Peggy Ann Austin Davis, 76, of 952 New Leicester Hwy. died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of and resident most of life of Buncombe County. She was formerly employed as a Seamstress at the Asheville Hosiery Mill, member of Dix Creek United Methodist Chapel and a life member for 53 years of The Order of The Eastern Star, Chapter #38. She was the daughter of the late Thomas J. Austin and Edith Lillian Spivey Austin. Surviving are her husband, B.F. Davis The Coffee Man of the home; daughters, Mellody Davis Jenkins and husband, Steven of Hiram, GA, Maedene Kitty Davis of Asheville and companion, Mark Genna of Bryson City; grandson, Jason Troy Jenkins of Blacksburg, VA; great-granddaughter, Cassidy Rose Jenkins of Asheville; several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. William Zopp officiating. Burial will be in Dix Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 to 1:45 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Oxford Orphanage, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565 or Susan G.
