Pauline Bishop

Asheville Pauline Genevieve Bishop, 85, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Laurels of Hendersonville. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she served during WWII with the American Red Cross in Asheville and was a house cleaner, having served many elite clients in the Asheville area. Miss Bishop was the daughter of the late Rev. Paul Pinkney Bishop and Dixie Emory Bishop and was also preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Thompson and niece, Paula Anderson. Surviving are her nieces, Rhonda Frazier and Shay Rugh; nephews, Jimmy Thompson and Steve Thompson; great nieces, April Rugh and Christa Thompson; great nephew, Chris Thompson and caregiver & friend, Barbara Fisher and husband Terry of Asheville. Memorial graveside services will be held 11 AM Monday, August 22, 2016 at Reeves Chapel UMC Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her family, c/o Barbara Fisher, 12 Wamboldt Ave, Asheville, NC 28806.
