Paula Belle Morrow of Asheville died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the age of 75. Born on June 20, 1941 in Asheville, NC, she was daughter of the late Paul Morrow and Margaret Nelson. Paula attended St. Joan of Arc School , St. Genevieve of the Pines and graduated from Erwin High School. Living in California for twenty years, she became a licensed practical nurse and competed and finished the City of Los Angeles Marathon for which she was very proud. When she moved back to Asheville, Paula volunteered and attended The Church of the Advocate. She enjoyed watching movies, reading and playing games with friends. She liked to laugh and make others laugh with her. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Newton Shields of Candler, sisters Cindy Gorsky of Pennsylvania and Nancy Pawelczy of Michigan, her nieces, Heather Shields of Franklin and Angela Langford (Mike) of Candler, her nephew, Wes Shields (Laura) of Bat Cave, great-nieces and great-nephew Maya, Emma, Leigh, Cody and Tucker and many special cousins. A celebration of life will be held at 3 PM Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Saint Lukes Episcopal Church, 219 Chunns Cove Road in Asheville. A reception, in the church parish hall, will follow the service.
