Paula Anthony

Candler - Paula Jo Anthony, 61, passed peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at her home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the lone surviving member of her immediate family, which included James R. Anthony, Esther D. Anthony, and brother James R. Anthony, Jr. of the Averys Creek Home. Paula attended TC Roberson High School and graduated from A-B Tech in 1975, beginning a 24 year career with Associated Spring, meeting and making many friends through her SPEC distributions operations management. With the closing of AS in 1999, she began work at Dana Corporation Vehicle Systems until that plant closed. She then entered Haywood Community College, graduating #1 in her Medical Assisting class at age 50. Paula was a lifelong advocate for all animals great and small. She owned over 36 dogs of seven different breeds, her favorite being the Labrador Retriever. She raised 26 beautiful animals with her husband of 27 years, Bruce. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. The family wishes to thank Care Partners Home Hospice, as well as the John F.
