Paul D. Metcalf

Paul D. Metcalf 65, a resident of Deming, NM entered eternal life Friday, October 24, 2008 after a long fight with cancer. He is one of 12 children of the late Lark and Nina Metcalf formerly of Candler. He is survived by his loving wife Karen Metcalf of Deming, NM.: two sons, Jeremy of Deming, NM.; Paul Daniel of Fairview.; two daughters, Angela of Deming, NM.; Crystal of Wi,: sisters, Bonnie Reese of Arden, Ruby Arrington, Robbie Banks and Carolyn Meese all of Candler; brothers, Rev. Ben Metcalf of Lancaster, SC, Charles Metcalf of Rockford, IL, Robert Metcalf of Waynesville and Edward Metcalf of Candler. seven grandchildren, Keltn, Kayne, Kaden, and Laurena all of Deming, NM.; Taylor, Chrissy, and Tonya all of NC.; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lark and Nina (Abernathy) Metcalf; two brothers, Larry and Tommy Metcalf; one sister, Edith Metcalf. Paul was an Auto worker for 31 years at Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, IL, where he reitered in 1996. Paul had many passions and talents, amoung which he was an accomplished singer and has recorded eleven songs in Nashville, TN; he sang with many well known singers and had several bands of his own. His Music was loved by all that heard him sing. Paul had touched many lives while here, and has left his love and memories in many hearts. As per Paul's wishes Cremation has taken place and the ashes will be spread. Memorial services will held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Services will be announced at a later date
