Asheville Patty Darlene Foster Stroupe, 54, of 18 Casselberry Drive, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at her home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she worked at Great Beginnings Pediatric Dentistry and formerly served as Teachers Assistant at Sand Hill-Venable Elementary School. She was a 1979 graduate of Enka High School, loved to play the piano and her favorite place to go was the beach. Patty was a daughter of the late Junius Lee Foster and Ina Mae King Foster and was also preceded in death by her brother, James Foster. Surviving are her husband whom she married October 25, 1980, Wesley Baxter Wes Stroupe, Sr. of the home; children, Wesley Baxter Wes Stroupe, Jr. (Casey) and Joshua Lee Josh Stroupe (Crystal Mischelle) all of Candler and Morgan Stroupe Foster (Robert) of Asheville; grandchildren, Shelby, Reagan, Colson, Caylen Mae, Caleb and Emily; sister, Debra Jones (Doug) of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Pole Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Thurman and Rev. Kelvin Moseley officiating.
