Patricia Jeanne "Pat" Foster

February 18, 1930 — April 2, 2005

Woodfin - Patricia Pat Jeanne Foster, 75, of 120 Elk Mtn. Road, died Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Emerald Ridge, Rehab and Care Center following a long illness. A native and resident most of life of Buncombe County. Mrs. Foster was a homemaker, member of the Church of the Redeemer where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and long time member of the TOPS Club. She was the daughter of the late James Carl Brown and Juanita Bell Graham Brown and the wife of Felix Blaxton Foster who died April 15, 1980. Also, preceded in death by her son, Felix Blaxton Foster, Jr. and step grandson, Phil Coulby. Surviving are her son, James D. Foster and wife, Gladys of Candler; daughter, Felicia Reid and husband, Douglas of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, James W. Bill Brown and wife, Ruth of Asheville; aunt, Margaret Gig Nelson of Candler; lifelong friend, Jeanette Holcombe of Woodfin; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Redeemer with Father Alex Hanks officiating. Burial will be held at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Church of the Redeemer, P.O. Box 8893, Asheville, N.C. 28814.
