Pat "Nana" Griffin

Asheville – Pat “Nana” Griffin, 72, of Nebo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, May 16, 2022. A native of Asheville, she was born on May 8, 1950, in Asheville, NC to the late Jack and May Henderson. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Drake; and brother, Gary Henderson. Pat enjoyed taking long walks, cooking, and spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Wayne Griffin; son, Jack Drake and wife Julie; daughters: Denise Drake, and Heather Drake and wife Diane; sister, Sue Garrison; six grandchildren: Cameron Willis, Makenzie Willis, Jacquelyn Willis, Emma Drake, Olivia Brock, and Skyler Norby; nieces and nephews: Robin Melton, John Tate, Tyler Roberts, Dani Tate, and Trevor Tate; and many extended family. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Pastor David Bruce officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the home of Jack and Julie Drake, 415 Justice Ridge Road, Candler, NC 28715. Anders-Rice Funeral Home in assisting the family with services.
