Mars Hill Claire Seaman Pat Magnus, 82, of 507 Green Acres Drive, died Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center following a brief battle with cancer. Mrs. Magnus had resided in Madison County for the past 20 years and had previously resided in Peapack, NJ and other various places, including Fair Haven, NJ, Athens and Lehighton, PA, Durban South Africa and retired to Madison County in 1996. Mrs. Magnus was a dedicated volunteer with Hospice of Madison County, My Sisters Attic in Marshall and Meals-on-Wheels of Mars Hill and Riding Instructor of Mountin Hopes Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center, Mars Hill of which she was a co-founder. Mrs. Magnus was the daughter of the late Bradford Claflin Seaman and Win Weyers Seaman. Surviving are her husband, Robert Magnus whom she married August 28, 1954; children, Tom Magnus and wife Barbara Reid, Jim Magnus and wife Valarie, Ted Magnus and Samantha Hanshaw and husband Mike; grandchildren, Isabel Christopher, Wesley Teddy, Philip, Robert Claire & Charles; great grandchildren, Gavin, Neve, Rainlyn, Sophie, Colin & Milo. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 433 Bone Camp Road, Mars Hill of which she was a very active member, leader and faithful volunteer for many years.
