Parris Earl "Pat" Wright

Fairview - Parris Pat Earl Wright, 90, of 12 Saylestown Road, died Tuesday April 8, 2003 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center. A life long resident of Buncombe County. He retired in 1976 from Sayles Biltmore Bleacheries after 35 years of service as a Craftsman and was a member of Laurel Pines Baptist Church. He was a son of the late James Franklin and Martha Lavender Wright. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Wright, Boyce Wright, Millard Dick Wright, Ed Wright, Oscar Wright and Fate Wright; sisters, Novella Jenkins, Exell Sales, Mae Vess, Laura Whitaker and Hattie Whitaker. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Sales Wright of the home; son, Ron Wright and wife, Sue of York, SC; daughter, Patsy Gardin and husband, Roger of Lawrenceville, GA; four grandsons, two step-grandsons, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Clarence Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
