Nina Saine

Asheville Nina Loretta Shephard Saine, 87, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Norman Dillard Shephard and Lela Mae Hall Shephard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Plez Saine; sisters: Fannie Cogdill, and Ann Mann; and brothers: Raymond Shephard, and Frank Shephard. Nina was a Charter Member of Freedom Baptist Church. She enjoyed working on her word search puzzles, gardening, and washing clothes. She just loved tending to her flowers and watching them grow. She was always dedicated to her children and family as evident when you walked into her home where she had wall to wall pictures of her family and loved ones. Surviving are her daughters: Frances Cody, and Hilda Dibacco; son, Frank Saine and wife Angela; brother, Glenn Shephard; grandchildren: La-Rinda Aguilar, Bunita Frindt, Anthony Cody, Patrick Cody, Terina Cullen, Latisha Rossi, Alyssa Saine, and Emily Saine; and great-grandchildren: Christopher, Kristina, Jason, Joey, Stephanie, Michael, Jacob, Olivia, Bridgett, Bailey, Peyton, Reagan, Mia, Gabriella, and Jack. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Shepard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
