Nellie Rogers Cox

Asheville - Nellie Rogers Cox, 89, died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at the WNC Baptist Home. A native of Lake City, SC, she had lived in Buncombe County since 1995. Mrs. Cox was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Rogers and Mary Ellen Forrest Rogers and was the wife of the late Lonnie Howell Cox who died in 1973. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Forrest C. Rogers and Thomas Eric Rogers. Surviving are her son, Charles Erick Cox and wife Linda of Asheville; grandson, Charles Erick Cox, Jr.; granddaughter, Loranza Erica Rogers; great grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, and Zachary; sister, Myde Rogers Craig of Iva, SC; brothers, Cleveland Harris Rogers of Lake City, SC and Neil A. Rogers of Taylors, SC. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia, SC.
