Asheville - Nedra Wade Rice, 75, of 739 Aiken Road died Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was a daughter of the late Paul and Minnie Bell DuVall Wade and wife of Julius Hardwick Rice who died December 30, 2001. She was formerly employed with Shaw Industries and Mills Manufacturing Company, was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where member of the Ladies Sunday School Class, sung in the church choir and formerly sung in the Rice Trio. Surviving are her daughters, Peggy McConnell and husband, Bill of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Juanita Shanley and husband, Gerry of Asheville, Livia Hine and husband, John of Arden; son, Arthur Rice and wife, Angie of Sevierville, Tennessee; brother, Rev. Bennie Wade of Leicester; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Keith Watkins and Ralph Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
