Neale Mcelrath

Candler Chester Neale McElrath, 71, of 7 Singing Frogs Lane (Pisgah Hwy), went to be with his Lord on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. Mr. McElrath was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was a 1964 graduate of Enka High School and a self-employed tree trimmer. He was the husband of Doris Moss McElrath who died December 2016 and was a son of the late John Roosevelt McElrath and Amanda Duckett McElrath. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, David McElrath and Kenneth Dale McElrath and sister, Carolyn Jean McElrath. Surviving are his sisters, Linda Bryant and husband Carl of Candler and Sharon Fore and husband Ronnie of Campobello, SC; brother, Allan McElrath and wife Cecilia of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Mountain of Hope Fellowship Church with Rev. Andrew Russo officiating.
