NASHVILLE, TN - Naomi Plemmons Cagle, 92, formerly of 110 Hanover Street, Asheville, passed away May 20, 2010 in Nashville. Mrs. Cagle was a Native and resident most of her life in Buncombe County. Mrs. Cagle took early retirement from Mills Manufacturing where she served as a supervisor to teach at Nazarene Christian Day Care. She retired March 6, 1998 as a Teacher for the past 24 years of the 2 year olds and was a member of the First Church Of The Nazarene. She was a daughter of the late Henry Hilliard Plemmons and Elvira Elizabeth Brown Plemmons and wife of Clarence Laxton Cagle who died in January of 1985. Surviving are her sister, Ruth Elizabeth Smith and husband, Charles of Nashville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 455 Broadmoor Drive, Nashville with the Rev. Michael Hancock officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Heaven Bound Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Sunday at the church. Burial will be held at Pisgah View Memorial Park Wednesday, May 26th under the direction of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, Asheville. A celebration of life service will be held by family and friends Saturday, May 29th at 2:00 PM by her graveside at Pisgah View Memorial Park in Candler Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice.
