Nancy Jeanette Gregg

Woodfin - Nancy Jeanette Wilson Gregg, 71, of 97 Elk Mountain Road, passed away Friday, June 9, 2006 at her residence following a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired from the Square D Corp. where she had worked for a number of years as an assembler. Mrs. Gregg was very active in the community of Woodfin, where she would volunteer for the Board of Elections as a poll worker and served as a charter member of the Woodfin Volunteer Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Gregg was the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Thelma Emaline West Wilson. She was the former wife of Fred Ted Gregg of Weaverville. She is also survived by her three sons: William Erwin Billy Gregg and wife Elizabeth of Mars Hill, James Martin Marty Gregg of Fayetteville, and Fred Noble Ted Gregg of Weaverville; five grandchildren: Christina, Marty, Cameron, Lucas, and Emelia; and two great-grandchildren: Devon and Dylan. Memorial services will be held at 4 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
