Nadine E. Cordell

Asheville – Nadine Elizabeth Cordell, 81, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Aston Park Health Care Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas “Jack” Leslie Meredith and Rosetta “Etta” Peters Meredith. She was also preceded in death by her sister Imogene Williams; and brother, Johnny Meredith.

Mrs. Cordell enjoyed attending Asheville Wesleyan Church where she also taught Sunday School.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, James Robert Cordell; brothers: Larry Meredith, and Gary Meredith; and niece and nephews: Peggy Williams, Jerry Earley, and Rick Earley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Powell Young officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
