Myrtle Graham Cutshall

January 10, 1919 — November 16, 2009

Woodfin Myrtle Graham Cutshall, 90, of 7 Locust Street, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 at her residence. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. Mrs. Cutshall retired from Square D and was a member of Newbridge Baptist Church. She was a very wise, courageous, and independent woman. Mrs. Cutshall was the daughter of the late Frank and Thula Martin Graham, and was the widow of Scott Melton, who passed away in 1948, and Ernest Cutshall, who passed away in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Madge Payne. Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Smith and husband W. Thomas Smith; son, Ronnie Melton and wife Marie; grandchildren: Autumn Yeager and husband Jack, Kelly Goodwin, and Scott Melton and wife Traci; great-grandchildren: Jenna, Matthew and Thomas Yeager, Patrick and Bethany Goodwin, and David and Mark Melton; sisters: Juanita Plemmons, Grace Ashe, Maude Frisbee, and Ruth Greene; and beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with the Rev. Clark Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
