Mildred Eller Herron

Asheville - Mildred Eller Herron, 86, of 264 New Leicester Hwy. died Sunday, June 20, 2004 at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center after a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Victory Baptist Church for over 50 years. Mrs. Herron was the daughter of the late Woodfin Carroll and Cora Lee Hill Eller and was the wife of the late James Carl Herron. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Everette Herron. Surviving are her daughter, Frankie H. Messer and husband Wayne of Alexander; sons, Carroll Herron and wife Peggy and John Herron and wife Melissa all of Leicester; sisters, Mary Anders of Marshall, June Parker and Genevieve Eller both of Weaverville; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Victory Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Sprinkle and Don Davis officiating. Burial will be in Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery.
