Easley, SC Mildred Mae Foster Allen Jordan, 94, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Brookdale Nursing Home, Easley, SC. A native and resident of Asheville, NC most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Foster and Mamie Embler Foster. She was also preceded in death by husbands: John Dewey Allen who passed August 1986, and John Thomas Jordan who passed December, 2007; 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. Mrs. Jordan was a waitress with Bucks Restaurant for many years, and a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church. She was also an avid gardener and well know for her beautiful flowers. She is survived by a son, John Dewey Allen, Jr. and his wife Gail of Pensacola Beach, FL; daughter, Jean Allen Liner of Easley, SC; sisters: Della McCaskey of Fayetteville, NC, and Elsie Howard of Asheville, NC; 5 grandchildren: Christina, Renee, John, III, Chad, and Brandon; 13 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church, Easley, SC, with Rev. Jim Spencer, and Rev. Rodney Graham officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Pisgah View Memorial Park, Candler, NC, with Rev. Rodney Graham officiating. The family will receive friends prior to graveside services from 1 till 2 PM Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: John Allen, III, Chad Liner, Brandon Liner, Richard Gibbs, Jerrod Gibbs, and Cameron Gibbs. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Black Mountain Home for Children, 80 Lake Eden Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
