Mildred A. King

Mildred A. King, 75, passed on to be with her Lord and loved ones on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Madison County she resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of Virginia Shelton Norris and the late William Gilbert Norris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Howell King; and brother, Donald Norris. Mrs. King and her husband were the owners of Kings Auto Body Repair for 40 years. She was a lifetime member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church where she was very active and served as the Treasurer for more than 20 years. Surviving in addition to her mother, are her son, Tracy King and wife Susan of Charlotte; grandsons: Trenton and Brooks; sister, Joyce Greene and husband Jim, and their daughter Jennifer Wooten all of Greensboro; sister/brother-in-law, Janice and Charles Barnes and their daughter, Angie Pearson of Leicester; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Franklin and Pastor Kevin Barnette officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 till 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
