Mickey Jr. Minyard

Asheville Mickey Darrell Minyard, Jr., 48, of 149 Rose Hill Road, passed away, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was employed as a Roll Off Driver with Waste Pro and formerly attended Woodland Terrace Baptist Church. He loved camping, hunting and fishing, all outdoor activities, and especially enjoyed working on his Chevys plus spending time with his family. He was a son of the late Mickey Darrell Minyard, Sr. and Janice Patricia Lamb Vanover. Surviving are his wife whom he married May 26, 1990, Sherry Janelle Penley Minyard of the home; daughters, Felicia Croak Treadway and husband Jacob of Swannanoa and Nashae Worf Minyard of Asheville; sister, Vickey Willis and husband Lewis of Swannanoa; brother, Kevin Pug Minyard of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 5 PM Sunday, January 14, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Marc Penley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.
