Maxwell E. "Max" Woodard

Weaverville - Maxwell Edgar Max Woodard, 65, of 8 Wildwood Avenue died Saturday October 25, 2003 at the Hospice Solace Center. A native of Swain County he resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He retired in 1988 from Gray & Creech Co. as a Technical Representative and was a member of Nichols-West Asheville Masonic Lodge #650. He was the son of the late Glenn and Myrtis Rae Gourley Woodard. Surviving are his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Susie Zimmerman and husband Pat of Charlotte and Wendy Frisbee and husband Melvin of Leicester; granddaughters, Brooke Frisbee, Elizabeth Zimmerman and Jenny Frisbee. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Brown officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Masonic Graveside Services conducted by; Nichols-West Asheville Masonic Lodge #650. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M.
