Maxine Deal Lawrence

Candler - Maxine Deal Lawrence, 75, of 29 Dogwood Ridge Road, went to be with the Lord and her family Thursday, August 3, 2006. Maxine was born in Iredell County May 15, 1931 to the late George Henry Deal and Myrtle Sigmon Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Frog Lawrence; son, Rodney Ronnie Lawrence; brothers: Harold and Everette Deal; and sister, Kathleen Deal Davidson. Maxine and Frog were the owners of Frogs Paving since 1983. During those years, they met many friends and were well-loved by the people they came in contact with. They will always be known for their special personalities and their way of bringing joy and laughter to all. Surviving are her son, Randal Tadpole Lawrence; daughter, Gail Lawrence Evans and her husband and devoted son-in-law, Larry Evans; daughter-in-law, Barbara Lawrence; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of Candler. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Nathan and Cliff Ingle, Will and William Lawrence, Danny McClure, and Bud Hunnicutt. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Following the graveside services, family and friends are invited to gather at Maxines home.
