Mary Pauline Carter

Asheville - Mary Pauline Bible Carter, 90, died Thursday May 26, 2005 at the Hospice Solace Center after a period of declining health. A native of Greene County, TN, she had lived in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheville and had run the beauty shop at the Brooks Howell Methodist Missionary Home for 25 years. She was a daughter of the late Robert A. and Effie Diane Bible and the wife of the late Edwin James Carter, Sr.. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Edwin James Carter, Jr. and William C. Carter and 3 sisters and a brother. Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Plemmons and husband Jim of Palm Coast, FL. grandchildren, Dwayne Plemmons of Elgen, TX , David Plemmons and Donald Plemmons and wife Melissa of Daytona Beach, FL and daughter-in-law Jean Carter of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Donna Painter officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.
