Mary Moss

Asheville Mary Will Moss, 86, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Stonecreek Health and Rehab Center. A native of Elk Park, NC, Mrs. Moss had resided in Buncombe County for over 20 years. She loved to play Bingo, read, crochet, and was a passionate shopper. Mrs. Moss was the daughter of the late Frank and Rena Hopson Elliott. She was also preceded in death by her husbands: Charlie Blalock, George Guinn, Sr., and Whitt Moss; two sisters, and four brothers. Surviving are her children: Jeanette Wrenn and husband John of Asheville, Juanita Hayden and husband Larry of Shady Valley, TN, George Guinn, Jr. and wife Terry of Painsville, OH, and Martin Guinn and wife Shirley of Burnsville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great, great-grandchildren; sister, Nina Sheppard of Fletcher; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daryl Overton officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to offer a heartfelt "Thank You" to the staff of Stonecreek Nursing and Rehab Center, as well as to the staff and technicians of DaVita Dialysis Clinic for the love and care that Mrs. Moss was given.
