Mary Angel

Asheville Mary Angel, 72, of 836 Old Leicester Highway, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Angel was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Bertie Keith Overman, and was the wife of the late Hershel Angel. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Overman; step-mother, Lula Overman; and grandmother, Maw Overman. Surviving are her daughter, Vicky Morgan and husband Doug; sister, Kathy Overman; brothers: Jimmy, Howard, and Sam Overman; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bobby Winebarger officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, with Aaron Pressley, Kelly Overman, Anthony Watts, Jonathan Overman, Ben Rathbone and Michael Sprouse serving as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 PM Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home, and at other times at the home Junior and Pat Williams in Candler. Flowers are greatly accepted or memorial donations may be made to Vicky Morgan to assist with final expenses.
