Candler - Mary Adele Morton, 90, of 123 Robinson Cove Road died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Greenville County, S.C. she had resided in Buncombe County (Candler) since 1964. Mrs. Morton was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pisgah Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was the daughter of the late Gustave Lee Seyle and Constance Amelia Harley Seyle and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joy Allen and husband, Hollis both formerly of Candler and grand daughter, Judy. Surviving are her daughter, Connie Smith and husband, Gilbert of Fredericksburg, TX; sons, Philip Morton, Jr. and wife, Gwendolyn of Fletcher and Thomas L. Morton and wife, Joyce of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Philip, Ernie, Melody, Shunshine, Hollis Jr., Mike, Glenn, Janet, Danny, Sherrie, Shirley, Thomas Jr., Todd and Sandra; 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Pisgah Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Buz Menhardt officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to Asheville Pisgah Church School, 90 Academy Drive, Candler, N.C. 28715.
