Mary Ada Walker

Asheville - Mary Ada Redmon Walker, 93, of 72 Pine Ridge Rd. died Sunday, December 19, 2004 at Emerald Ridge Rehab and Care Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Mrs. Walker was the daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin and Ivory Sue Henderson Redmon and was the wife of the late Elmer Walker. She is also preceded in death by her Son, Charles P. Redmon and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are her sons, Jack H. Walker and wife Jolene and James L. Walker and wife Loretta all of Asheville; brothers, Arthur and Ronald Redmon both of Asheville; grandchildren, Brenda Cloer and husband Jeff of Franklin, Janet Sheppard of Asheville and Jackie Cantrell and husband Roger of Leicester; 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Stan Willet and Bob Willis officiating. Burial will be in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
