Marjorie Blankenship

Asheville - Marjorie Robinson Blankenship, 95, died Friday April 1, 2011 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center. A native of Madison County, she had lived in Buncombe County for the last 50 years. She was a daughter of the late Sam and Julie Ponder Robinson and the wife of the late Ted Blankenship. Surviving are her sons, Shelby Blankenship of Candler and Mike Blankenship and wife Velzie of Leicester; daughter, Joan Boyd and husband Jerry of Asheville; grandsons, Bryan Boyd and Steve Blankenship and 2 great granddaughters, Abby Kate and Kayla. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Surrett officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before services at the funeral home.
