Swannanoa - Elizabeth Marie Higgins Wilson, 76, of Swannanoa, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Ms. Wilson retired following over 26 years of service with Bussman. Her purpose and love of life was taking care of her family and friends. She enjoyed her flowers, and cherished her grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Clella Mae Carter Higgins. Surviving are her former husband, Donald Bruce Wilson; daughter, Patricia Wilkerson and husband Tony; son, Donald Wilson (Amanda); grandchildren: Ryan (Tracy), Tasha, Joseph, Ashley, Matthew, Hallie, Caman, and Dustin; eight great-grandchildren, all of Swannanoa; sister, Wanda Christian of Glendale, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tommy Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
