Marie Sprinkle

Asheville Nina Marie Stevens Sprinkle, 70, of 87 Memory Lane, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. She will always be remembered for her beautiful green eyes and being a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. A native of Winston Salem, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church and former member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Sprinkle was a daughter of the late Steven Buddy Stevens, Sr. and Willye Velda McBride Stevens. Surviving are her husband, Bruce Bynum Sprinkle, Sr. whom she married September 22, 1962; children, Lisa Sprinkle Culbertson and husband Jack of Elon, NC, Bynum Sprinkle and wife Gina of Asheville, Lori Sprinkle Ledford and husband Chris of Arden and Dan Sprinkle of Asheville; grandchildren, Bethany, Hannah and Graham Culbertson, Jabin, Rebekah, Nathan, Rachel and Andrew Sprinkle and Lauren and Landon Ledford; sister, Janice Player and husband Nick of Asheville; brother, Steve Stevens, Jr. of Easley, SC and several nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 30, 2013 at West Asheville Baptist Church with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Stan Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
