Marie Jones

Marie Jones, 91, passed away Saturday February 5, 2011. A native of Fannin County, GA she had lived most of her life in Buncombe County and was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Marie was a daughter of the late Sam and Ida Franklin Wimberly and wife of the late William Jones. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Flossie Carter and Velva Haskins, brothers, Lloyd, Will, Emery and Blaine Wimberly. Surviving are daughters, Brenda Fishback and husband Don and Debra Pearson, grandchildren, Dave, Chris and Jacqueline McClain, Blu and Rusty Pearson, three great grandchildren, sister, Geraldine Kilpatrick, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:30 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Mr. Nelson Hathcock officiating. Entombment will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park.
