Margaret Swann

Leicester Margaret McCarson Swann, 82, of 125 Mink Farm Road went to be with her Lord, Saturday January 14, 2017 at the home of her daughter with her family by her side. Mrs. Swann was a native and resident most of her life of Buncombe County and a daughter of the late James Edward and Della Cairnes McCarson and wife of James Carroll Swann who died August 1, 1991. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters. She was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and caregiver to all her family. She will be sadly missed and was loved by all. Surviving are her daughters, Debbie Peek (Earl), Carol Edwards (Dennis) and Kim McFee (Jeff); sons, Mike Swann (Lynda) and Dale Swann (Kaye) all of Leicester; sister, Jeanne Robinson of West Jefferson; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in the chapel of the Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen, Chaplain Brian Williams, CarePartners Hospice and Seth McFee officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Leicester.
