Margaret Nelson White

Candler - Margaret Nelson White, 92, of 9 Arborwood Trail died Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Minneapolis, MN, she had lived in Candler since 1993. She received a B.A. from the College of St. Teresa, Winona, MN and an Advanced Degree in Library Science from Peabody Institute, Nashville, TN. Margaret was a retired childrens librarian and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Parish. Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Herbert Nelson and Maude Sainsbury Nelson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James H. Nelson. Surviving are her husband, Douglas W. White of the home; son, Dr. Leonard A. White of Lorton, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer K. White and Jeffrey L. White. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Father John Pagel officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will be on August 13, 2004 in St. Marys Cemetery, Winona, MN.
