Arden - Margaret June Holcombe Bartlett Hall, 86, died Monday August 23, 2004 at her home following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was formerly employed with Southern Bell as a switchboard operator, worked for M.V. Moore Co. in retail sales and with Bon Marche in the Ladies Dept. for a number of years. She was a graduate of Woodfin High School and served the Woodfin area as a census taker for the U.S. Agricultural Dept.. She was very active in the Republican Party, was an accomplished seamstress, an avid Atlanta Braves fan and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a daughter of the late William Bill Holcombe and Dolly Snyder Holcombe and the wife of the late Wade Jennings Bartlett who died in 1979 and William Hubert Hall who died in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Surviving are her children, Richard A. Bartlett and wife Doreen of Virginia Beach, VA., June B. Arrington and husband Bob of Asheville and Eddie T. Bartlett and wife Mary of Asheville; grandchildren, Vikki Etheridge, Karen D. Tobey and husband Scott, Kellie Bartlett, Angela A. Conley and husband Chris and Dana Lambert and husband Repp; great grandchildren, Emelia Arrington Conley and Max Lambert; special friend, Marian Baker of Fletcher. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Thursday at Elk Mountain Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
