Madeline Bonham

Leicester Madeline Walker Bonham, 70, of 76 Reeves Road, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her home. A native and resident most of her life of Buncombe County, she was a member of Leicester Baptist Church. Mrs. Bonham was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Walker and Onita Beam Walker and was also preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Walker and nephew, Roger Walker. Surviving are her husband whom she married October 16, 1968, Ralph William Bonham, Sr. of the home; children, Anne Haring (Christian) of Leicester and Ralph Bonham, Jr. (Stefanie) of Old Fort; grandchildren, Loretta Thomason of Leicester, Michael Thomason (Felicia) of Hendersonville, Matthew Edwards of Old Fort and Melinda Adams (Sheldon) of Fairview; sisters, Lottie Franklin of Oakley, Freeda Parker (Charles) of Asheville, Trudy Collins (Marvin) of Alexander and Sheila Higgins of New York; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Walker of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Leicester Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Ellege officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
