Mack "Tom" Dalton

FAIRVIEW - Mack H. Tom Dalton, 81, of Dalton Ridge Road, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Dalton was the former owner and operator of Dalton Heating and Air Conditioning, having retired in 2009. He was a member of Cedar Mountain Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. Mr. Dalton was the son of the late Y.C. and Delia Dotson Dalton. Surviving are his wife, JoAnn Marlowe Dalton, whom he married May 7, 1954; son: Stanley Mack Dalton and wife Gayla of Fairview; daughters: Pamela Hodgin and husband Alex of Wilmington, NC and Terry Erickson of Fairview; grandchildren: Brooke, Ashley, Justin, Josh, Ian, Megan, and Jake; and sister, Beth Hunter of Fairview. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Page officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45-10:45 AM Monday at the funeral home.
